Paul’s careers have varied, from running an ironing service to caring for adults with learning disabilities. He gave it all up to complete a two-year creative writing course at Bristol University, subsidizing himself by winning the occasional TV quiz show. He was co-winner of the inaugural Bristol Festival of Literature Flash Fiction Prize and has been longlisted for both the Bristol and Bath short story awards. His short fiction has also featured on BBC radio.
Paul has four novels under his belt, all fitting snugly in the crime and mystery section of any virtual bookshop. Each mystery explores the emotional bomb blasts and story shrapnel that hit not only the crime victims but their surviving loved ones. And it’s those loved ones who are left to solve the crimes. There aren’t many flawed detectives crawling across these pages, swigging bourbon or crying over a lost love.
You’ll find more details in the Books section.

This is the virtual me. The virtual me is far more flatteringly proportioned than the actual me. And better looking.
